A THAAD interceptor is launched during a successful intercept test Wednesday at the Pacific Missile Range Facility, Kauai, Hawaii.
The THAAD missile, or Theater High Altitude Area Defense, is developed by Lockheed Martin in Huntsville and Courtland and managed by the Missile Defense Agency on Redstone Arsenal.
